Nobody walks my path with me
No one can feel my pain
Maybe 'God'
Maybe my Self
But no separation
Only Oneness with 'them'
So I'm still alone
Even if it means alone as
The entire universe
I'm still alone
As an 'individual'
I'm alone
No one is in my mind
Nobody shares my world
Not even the person closest to me
The one who shares my heart...
I'm ultimately alone
No matter what I believe
All fingers point to
The same moon
When it comes to living, suffering,
And experiencing this life...
There's nobody here but me

I am challenged by the existential claim of this work; particularily in a culture where people at literally a touch of a button away, you are scraping away this artificial sense of connectedness and asking us to directly confront the reality of our existence. I especially like the opening part about God and the self; by acknowledging common challenges to your claim, you create space for the reader to truly question his or her own sense of aloneness. Well done!
