The Love of a Child

A young man and woman united

They cherished each other.

From this love was born a son,

oh, how his parents loved him.

When God decided he wanted him,

the son said he would leave if he

could watch over Mommy and Daddy,

to make sure they will be okay.

So when you look up towards the clouds,

his little face is smiling down on you.

Wishing you all the best and not

to worry because he’s at rest.

I know the pain of losing a child, my heart is with you. Your poem was beautiful. Took lot of courage to share and I am so happy you did.

This is a very sad poem. Yet it is precious. Thank you for having the courage to share it.
