Out Of Big G's Sight - Wee #36

L.D. Ablo exited the room.

“His heart’s not in this anymore,“ commented Big G on L.D.’s departure.

“He’s lost faith,” decried Gabby.

Mike silently glared at the door.

“Well, what'll we do?” asked Big G.

A pause.

Gabby broke the silence. “Ask him to leave the company. He’s not liked... and he doesn't-”

Mike broke in. “Tell him. We don’t ask him anything, we just tell him to go.”

“Yeah, tell him…“ said Gabby .

Big G looked at them and smiled faintly. He'd seen this coming for a while; L.D. was too much of a leader to be led. The break might be amicable, but the new company that L.D. would set up would be in direct competition to Big G’s.

“He may take on a bigger slice of the action here, if it’s offered.” Big G looked at Mike and Gabby. “Whatd’ya think?”

“Good riddance…”

“…To bad rubbish”

Mike and Gabby cast their votes and L.D. was company history.

Good Heavens and Hell's Bells! Is this a remake on the original story?

Loved this parady-if that's what you meant it to be.

Great stuff, Grae - very funny. I agree on L.D. - no other crits.

Cheers

We seem to be tuned into the same bat channel. The great fall as corporate callousness, and LD its sad victim.

You are made of WIN!

I've been turning Gabriel into a Gabrielle (Gabby) in my own stuff. Bits you haven't read yet. Too weird and funny.

What? No Lucy Furr?

Well done, my friend. You always have an entertaining twist on things. I think Penguin is right on the LD / L.D. thing, but the adjustment would probably blow your word count to hell
