We Only Hear About Broken Hearts

I have rarely
ever
heard of a love where
BOTH
hearts came out
unbroken.

I was like
Sampson
and you were like
Delialah.
You cut off my hair
and my heart.

Only one of us came out of that
"relationship"
without a broken heart.

I wish it would have been you.

The last line really drives home a sucker punch to whoever the other person may be.
I can relate fully to this poem and I am sure many others can as well.
Job well done!
