Faeries
Dance among the faeries
On spider webs
Of silver threads
Until the spell breaks
Let the morning dew cleanse
And wipe away the filth
That smudges your face
Dance among the faeries
On crickets’ backs
Of midnight black
Until the spell breaks
Let the dandelion seeds cast you away
And make you soar into the air
That rushes past your face
Dance among the faeries
On mushroom heads
Of cloudy red
Until the spell breaks
Let the branches bring you high
And gaze on small wonders
That before you could not see
Dance among the faeries
On fallen leaves
Of unknown trees
Until the spell is broken
Let the nightly smog veil
And hide your tiny wings
That you can fly unseen
Dance among the faeries
