Rust

Stranded in the eternal darkness, for more eves than I fare to recollect

Hope vanished like a rusting chain with time

The ephemeral exit never for me to use

I sit to let time do its worst on me

While light tries to blind me on my way

From the dangers that lie away

Behind the veil of time

Darkness I shall stay

To await my fate

From time

Good poem, Michael, but "fare to recollect" bugs me. I'd swap FARE for CARE or DARE.

'fare' in line 1 - should this be 'care'?

i felt that you overused the time image, but paradoxically, it wasn't an image that you expanded enough for it to mean anything in particular.

Sorta reminds me of my stuck in the corner response to life. Nice one :)
