A Little Problem (Wee Challenge #37)

I was so happy when I heard the news.
My preliminary artwork had been accepted and was to be shown at the most popular art gallery in town, AND I was to be PAID for it! I entered months ago, and I never thought that mine would be chosen. I received a letter telling me that I would need to do an original piece in pencil. No problem.
I did the piece and it turned out beautiful; quite poetic. So I sent it in.
3 weeks later...

I got a letter back today. It said-
"There was a little problem with your submission; you forgot to include the drawing."

Nice take on the title and a funny wee tale.

I'd be inclined to lost the excalamtion mark after 'chosen' - the previous one seems necessary (sort of) but that one doesn't.

Thanks for the read and for taking the challenge.

Cheers

Karen

I loved the economy of it. You set up the situation, and your character, really succinctly. The only suggestion I'd make was to take out the "three weeks" part. The audience will still get the passage of time: envelope sent in, letter back. Just a thought. Great piece, made me laugh.

Artistic people are not always the most organized, unfortunately. Very smart wee story. Glad to see something from you that's NOT poetry =]

One quick fix - I recieved a letter --- it's received. spelling, typo, whatever. It's a nice story!
