Passion's Path

The trail of life is passion’s path,
the give and take, the sow and reap,
passion’s path is planting, weeding,
tending to the crop that holds the soul.

The vines and tendrils, climbing, seeking out
the sun, maturing, building, storing energy to
shape the seed, perpetuate the urge, passion’s path
is nature going on, acorn to tree, embryos to far-flung

orchards, seed to swollen-ovary to giant of
the earth, beyond, a universe unknown, all this is
passion’s path, the unstoppable and primeval thirst
for life.

A POEM? You're a brave man, Al.

It's a good poem, right enough. But IT'S A POEM and it's in wee stories.

I'll have to go for a lie down...

Thanks, Mike, but it's 'orchards.' Appreciate it.

think orchids needs to be capitalized.
very nice. a great flow and beautiful imagery, not to mention the surprising amount of depth within the piece.
