Passions Path
"Lunch is read-“ Susan fell silent at the bathroom door. “What. Is. That?"
I looked at the paint lid. "Passion's Path."
"Looks like Baby Shit Green."
"It’ll darken when it dries-"
“So does baby shit.”
Lured by food, our eldest emerged from her cave. She followed our eyes to the tub wall. "Kinda retro, dad. Grandma would love it." Expert opinion rendered, she headed toward grub.
Not to be outdone, our youngest scrunched her face. “That’s fugly.”
“Language, Lindsey.” In unison.
Our little cherub scampered off to the kitchen.
Susan giggled. "Do-over time, Picasso. One hotdog or two?”
Primer poured into a spattered roller pan. “Two. And beer. Lots of beer.”

AW, I've been there with something masquerading as 'terracotta' that turned out to be the sickliest shade of pink you've ever seen.
Great dialogue, great story, made me laugh - thanks for that.
Cheers

| Excellent family portrait. Comfortable read, and could easily expand to a longer piece. Good work. |

Great dialog here. Also wonderful description of that colour, I'll steer clear of any paint labelled 'Passion's Path'.
Thanks for a great read. |

| A nice scene with very true to life dialogue. I'm pretty sure I rented a room in a house with baby shit green walls in the bathroom. It didn't actually look too bad! |
