All for the want...
The Problem:
A period.
A little period.
A simple, little period.
A simple, little period missed.
A simple, little period missed in 3,500 lines of code.
The cost:
450 page report
45,000 copies distributed
450,000 readers
650,000 businesses misinformed
But most importantly:
A job.
A reputation.
A career.
And all for the want of a full stop.

having worked with fortune 500 types for years, I can relate. It's ugly with corps go on a witch hunt to assign blame.
I do wonder if actually stating a hard cost would add anything. Something like: $30M Australian. 5 executive vacations cut short.
Just a though. I like it as is too. Well done. |

Just dawned me I should have said it here, sorry about that, Down Under!
Ahem, why I liked the piece, by Arley Owens:
It was humorous from the get-go. Love the repetition and additions to A PERIOD "A period . . .A little period . . . A simple, little period . . . A simple little period missed", et al. Packed a very fast pace and was extremely focused on the one issue. |

Great wee, Penguin! Your choice of format was excellent as was your wording (and, of course, the subject matter).
I enjoyed it enough to go through quite a few times. Thanks for the read. |

Kind of read like a teletype spitting out the very bad news.
Original. I like. |
