This Human Existence

Nobody is the reason for my pain
Not even me
No one is to blame

Pain happens, the way life happens
Inevitably and spontaneously
'Infinite potentiality actualizing creatively'
When conditions allow for it anyway...

Expressing pain, the best way I can find
An attempt to make it go away

Insulting, humiliating, getting revenge
Starting conflicts.. it's all the same

Pain in all of its expressions
Many more, than I've listed here

But, I don't have to tell you
Do I?
Chances are, you're doing one of them
At this very minute

Any distraction, laughing with friends,
Working a job, having a drink
Replacing pain with pleasure
Doing something that you enjoy

Whatever you're doing
It's all the same thing

A search for completion
A chance for release
Distracting your body and mind
Looking for 'love'
Finding yourself
'Bettering' yourself

Trying to make the pain of life,
Go away...

But anything you do, is only temporary
Temporary completeness, 'happiness'
You're chasing the horizon
You'll never reach it

Good luck!
Stay entertained
Try to cover up the pain

Just remember that
No one is to blame

We go through what we have to
No one gets preferential treatment
We're all the same

Living our lives
Doing what we 'have' to do
The best way we know how...

Anything to avoid the pain
Of this human existence

Thanks. I like that quote. And yea.. I definately agree.

This has been an intense few months filled with alot of heartbreak. There's nothing like the fear of losing everthing and the feeling of dying inside.. to remind me that I was alive in the first place.

And I definately had to finally let go of 'acting human' and let nature and pain take it's course. The nice guy died.. and the monster took over.

As im reading this awesome piece of writing, i think of the quote by samuel johnson, which might sum up the point if dare to be impetious to suggesting it, if not apologises by all means; He who makes a beast of himself gets rid of the pain of being a man. With every down point in life, there is always the feeling of living; as we are deep down in our heart of hearts human, we are animals who simply try to act human in the same instant. Great piece.
