Forever

Watching her run into his waiting arms
He had forever dreamed of this day
It was here that she truly belonged
With him she would forever stay.

He had broken down her wall
Snapped the chains that bound
Melted away the ice
Inside a damaged heart he found.

He held it in his hands
And with time nursed it back to health
What he was given in return
Far better than any man’s wealth.

A woman so giving of herself
So full of desire and love
Everyday he would have with her
Truly a gift from above.

He had finally been blessed
To have ‘the one’ by his side
He had never thought he would get here
It had been a bumpy ride

But now as he kissed her
Gently tasting her lips
He knew he was home
And it had been worth the trip.
