Night

Quiet...
Not even the crickets could be heard.
On this cold, dark night

Silence...
The birds were a slumber,
Sleepy darkness with barely any light.

Shadows...
The tree branches outside,
Cast shadowy figures into the room.

Movement...
The wind blows through the shrubs,
Causing silent havoc in the gloom.

Whispers...
Voices or noises,
Carried on the soft wind,
Gliding through the air.

Nothing...
Everything drifts away,
Into the darkness,
Nothing there...
