A Risk I Take

A risk I take

When send I make

An irreversible written me

Compose, reply or forward

It's a note of my integrity

Oh how anxiously I await

That jovial alert

The jingle that relates

"You've got mail"

Oh how deflated I feel

When its not from~ you,

my hopeful email rendezvous'

It's a "you've just won"

Or "make millions from home"

Unwelcome spam it'd be.

Wonder if others feel the same

do they ponder or question

or feel

when no response, a pain?

More a balloon of wonderment

Floating above ones head

A self questioning collage

Did what I send offend?

But still reach out I do

This continued bearing of soul

this risk that I take

each send that I make.
