The entire walk home was a dark rainy blur.
In his room he pulled off his backpack and tossed it onto a grey couch that sat against one of the unfinished walls adjacent to the door. Although his walls were unfinished they were soundproofed so that he could blast his music as loud as he wanted to. He walked over to the other side of the room and turned around one of the walls to the spot where his bed was. On top of a night stand was a pack of Camel twenty class A cigarettes which he retrieved and then went back to the grey couch. On that same couch he lit up his smoke. He reached over the arm rest of the couch and pushed the power button on his stereo in.
“And at five 0’ clock they take me to the gallows hall,” came a screaming high pitched eerie voice on the stereo. With each drag he took the song grew closer and closer to Its’ end. As the song ended so did the smoke-able tobacco, so he pressed it firmly in the glass ashtray on his night stand that sat on a coffee table in front of the couch. Enjoying the music he closed his eyes and tipped his head back with his eyes closed slowly he drifted off into a deep sleep…
