A poem about how he let me go met with retaliation in the form of a short story about how I pushed him away. “You Cheated” inspired “Do You Blame Me?” No matter how many fiery arrows I shot at him, miles away, they came right back at me, frozen. Global ping-pong. For five years.

Some were long.
Title: One more naïve attempt at getting your attention (sorry this is a long one).
Body: It’s been a long time. We’ve gone our separate ways, but that doesn’t change the fact that I miss you and really want to...(and so on).
Others were short.
Title: Talk to me…
Body: …please.
Some were casual.
Title: What’s up?
Body: Check out this link. I think you’ll like this song.
Others were blunt.
Title: Fuck you
Body: Yeah, you heard me. FUCK YOU!
They continued to pour over the course of a year. More than one hundred emails.
I read them all. Every word. But I never replied. Not even to the last one.
Title: Cancer.
