Untitled Plot Outline
“I’d like you to meet my wife, Jessica,” said Smith.
I shook hands with the woman at Smith’s side. I have known Smith since high school and had not the smallest doubt that the woman was not his wife. Her eyes were steely cold, her grasp was tight and she was radiating cold air.
It had been four years since Detective Jessica Christian had seen or heard from her partner, Smith Pierceson. Suddenly, she was face to face with him and their horrible past.
Involved in drug rings all across America for over a decade, Pierceson took off, leaving Jessica to take the rap. It took long, hard years to get herself off the hook, and even longer to regain the trust of officers in the department. After all, she was partners and best friends with a drug king and she had no idea who he really was. Pierceson was just that good at keeping his life a secret.
What is a cop supposed to do when another cop asks for help while running from the law? She does the only thing she can: she meets with him.
Starting with drugs and friendship, Jessica is suddenly thrust into a world of betrayal, and murder. With no way to escape the whirlwind romance of drugs and money, Jessica is torn between doing the right thing and doing what feels right.
