I'd Lie

It hurts. They always told me that it would. I didn't think it would hurt this much, though. I didn't tell you what I should have. I didn't tell you what I kept hidden. I couldn't. All our other friends kept telling me to; but, I didn't.

Now, I've got to watch you as you're happy with her. I've got to be the good best friend and smile as you give her your last name. You come up to me. I hug you. It hurts, a lot. I don't let you know.

I should have told you all along; but, still to this day, if anyone would ask me if I'm in love with you...I'd lie.

(A/N: LOOSELY BASED ON "I'D LIE" BY TAYLOR SWIFT)

I like the last line.
