smile

we were holding hands walking along the shoreline of the beach. we couldnt believe it was actually the end for us. i'll be stuck at home alone with my last memories of him. he'll be out risking his life for the life of others. i knew he was doing this for me but i couldn't help the pain inside. i didn't want him to leave my heart cold. i wanted him to stay to keep my heart with warmth.

" i want you to have this" he said handing me a small velvety box. i opned the box to see a diamond ring glowing infront of me. i wanted to be happy but i couldn't bring a smile to my face. i was gonna be his wife! but what if he doesn't come back?

"why do you have to leave" i chocked with tears filling my eyes. he looked at me with his love and said " to save couples like you and I".

i looked at him and said "please dont leave me."
