Need

Everyone needs something.

Food
Clothing
Money
Shelter
An education
Drugs

Or simply love. To be loved. It seems so easy to say it.
“I love you.”

But what does love really mean.

The husband who beats his wife says “I love you,” every night before bed.

The mother who can’t afford food for her children because she is spending it all on drugs says “I love you,” to her daughter, and sticks the needle into her arm. Time and time again.

The sister who steals every ounce of self confidence from her younger sister says “I love you,” every time they meet.
