Goodnight, Sweet Lady
Sipping champagne could not be more romantic.
Debutantes wearing elegant gowns dripping with jewels
Everyone positioned around the piano singing and laughing.
A moment, an instant. A single glance.
So Sexy, so divine.
With a sideways nod the dancing begins.
Twirling and whirling of mind and body,
The cascade of notes from the trumpets
Playing the spirit of the soul.
Feet barely touching the dance floor,
While the gowns are gracefully flowing.
Kisses, stolen on the dance floor.
Glances, stolen across the room.
Dances, willingly given late into the evening.
The evening must end.
With one last kiss.
