One Moment
Under the cloudy skies,
with well kept secrets,
gravestones like tired warriors.
Scattered flowers around,
powerless to eliminate the sadness dominating.
The silent song of the dead,
an elegy for the loved ones left behind
a chilling touch...
An unexpected laughter of a child from nowhere
echoes through the cemetery.
Suddenly skies brighten up...

I am glad you all enjoyed this piece. I always had my favorite cemeteries, first one was Pere Laichaise in Paris, I was very excited when I have been there to visit the graves of the ones who fought during the Commune in 1871. Also Highgate cemetery in London is always special place for me.

| The cemetery is a very calming place to be. It offers a sort of excitement and makes your blood rush whenever your in a haunting night, but you could also have great moments that are unforgettable. I give you kudos for this piece of poetry. |

I agree totally, why not find that a cemetery
might be filled with laughter and joy? That's what people joke about when referring to the famous cemetery, Forest Lawn, here in LA--the only place where you can be married and buried! ;-) |
