Going Solo
We like too many of the same things and we have too little in common.
Do you understand? We get along too well and are too easy-going; we never fight, though we should. You are too angry; I am too pragmatic.
I love you too much to marry you; I hate you too much to let you off easy.
Sometimes I hope you will lose control and hit me. You’ve done it to others. I am afraid of being alone, and I no longer love you, and I don’t know how to tell you. I want an excuse to leave.
If I break up with you, I am an ungrateful bitch. I want to be in the right.
Sometimes, I try to make you hate me. If I am annoying, childish, too liberal, perhaps you will love me less.
Miss me less.
Stop loving me, or I’ll never leave you.
