Going Solo

If you are going to befriend someone, you should really understand them, right? Yet so many flitter around with BFFs who know nothing about each other.

My Dictionary.
F.
Friend: one who you can get naked in front of, crash at their house ANY TIME, kiss (either on the cheeks or lips) without it meaning anything and fart in front of.

“Attention passengers, calling Singapore Airlines Flight SG81 to Fuzhou, China. We now invite all passengers to make their way through immigration in preparation for boarding.”

Just hours from a one-way departure, ten friends surrounded me. Ten.

They brought me glasses of water when I spewed. They cooked for me after a long day at work. They took me to the doctor when I didn’t have the strength. They ran their fingers through my hair.

But I couldn’t see any of them.

Apparently, a broken heart affects vision.

This is a fantastic subject matter and you brought it home effectively. I like stories involving journeys. Here the journey is personal and geographical.

thank you for an enjoyable read.

This story made me want to cry. I feel badly for the Main character that he has suffered so much. But at the same time, glad he has ten amazing friends. Well done!

Ouch! Feels very personal. I guess my only comment would be that I want to know more about the broken heart. Could that be worked in earlier?

Aw. That's some bittersweet stuff there. Very well-drawn.
