Haunted

haunted

An echo of pain and love lost in time,
An echo much to vain to fall away
Sounding deep within rang the past knelling sang
An echo of pain I feel every day.
An echo of rain that fell and drenched this heart of mine

You never said exactly why you left
You never seemed to care about what would hurt
Acting freely, feeling no guilt, as if I never were
You never showed any emotion, regarding me as dirt
You never looked back, my torn open chest

Still I look round, hoping you’re there
Still I hear your voice, something lost in the air
Haunted by illusions of what seemed to be real
Still I taste your lips, the lingering scent of pear
Still I feel you, at night its more than I can bear
