Words Unread

Subsist to reap plainly
the value of that which shimmers
in beauty without observation
or enumeration.

Untested, unheeded, unknown,
hang suspended on the page,
poised to birth
thought and recollection,
sadness and despair, insurmountable joy.

Journeying nowhere
to span chasms of
remembrance. Thought within
minds unwashed, unwarranted,
eroded by time, slumbering.

Sign posts with no indication
of what is to come or become.
Mocking, painful, but, indeed, powerless
without the warmth of caressing eyes
and burdened, tracing lips.

Dance for the mind,
but lie still. Lurk and
penetrate the soul.
Provoke thought unrealized,
much less defined.

INSPIRE.
