The Fallen
Pale in the moonlight without the force of the gale yet to rise
I can see it when the sunlight sets in your eyes
the way you want nothing more than to end my life
You stare at me, waiting, hating the moment
Waiting for the moment to scratch through the surface
Hating all the things he had done wrong to you
"Not now, not ever" you tell yourself as you give away
into a twisted world of our bodies desires
"Let me" you plea as your body weight rises and falls
into a mirage of hidden pleasures
It's not what we want, yet we succumb to it.... into a blissful tragedy
Our breath mix into the the chilled air
and in that brief second, I feel what you have felt your entire life
the pain, the love and emptiness left behind when they depart
It's been years since that night,
I still wonder to this day what really happenned
In the heat, the rage, and blind lust
she left my soul to become what it is now, dust.
