Have we finally come to accept that we are mortal?
a sleepless lifetime comes free with
inflated lungs.
why won’t you smile for me, darling?
(a) says the photographer.
(b) says the mortician.
Move along. There is nothing to see here.
She comes to replant the flowers that
have died in the spot where the blood seeped in.
