Kindly Understand

To fight the fire that burns within me,
I sink down into the depths of fantasy.
The birds that sing envelope me,
As the kites soar higher than the trees.

To explain the complicity of my mind,
Would be impossible you see.
For it’s hardly understood by its owner,
The person I’d like to call me.

I get what you are trying to say,
But I don’t feel the words you speak.
In order to reach my true feelings,
You must say it as if you believe.

I may hurt and I may cure;
But it depends on the inner strength of the day,
For it's not the events, but the will,
That determines the path that I take.

So if you understand my explanation,
For my quirkiness, and my rage...
Than speak up will you?!
So that you may be able to turn your own page.
