Ignite

a casual word here
an angry word there
just who are the people who care
were are the justice seeking citizens
wanting to put an end to the tyranny
of those who are our so called leaders
we need words of truth
we need heartbeats of love
and thoughts of light
to ignite
the fires
which will inspire
a new beginning.

An absolutely fantastic poem, very inspiring and full of hope. Can't really think of anything else to say or change. Loved it

A poem about responsibility and taking the front, as well as realizing that just because a person is at the front does not mean they lead well or even morally. A cry for a new beginning a plea for the end of tyranny. An interesting read. I hope I’m not wrong in making one suggestion but did you intentionally use the word “were” rather than “where” because it doesn’t fit “were” being a form of the word “be”. I think you meant “where” and that is how I read it.
