The End

There is a distinct line between you and me; there are no shades of gray. You had your little comforts and your guilty pleasures. You thought, no, you felt that there was something better, something greater than this. You think that you will be rewarded.

I know that there is nothing.

You thought that I bought every lie you fed me. You thought that I was in love, or awe, or whatever the hell you want to call it. I saw through you. In the end you rewarded, your “good deeds” went unnoticed and your hypocrisy and guilt ate you from the inside out.

There is nothing else for you than what I am looking at right now. You lay on the floor. You could almost be sleeping if it weren’t for the hole between your eyes and the gore spattered on the wall behind you.

So do you see how different we are now? Your heart is still, and mine beats a steady rhythm. You brain is everywhere, and mine is still intact and in constant motion. And in your life you felt so many trivial, useless, human emotions…

I never felt a thing.

This flashed back to a cousin of mine. After an argument one day, her husband walked into the kitchen and blew his brains all over the ceiling. A friend of the family lost a son to the same fate. His girlfriend broke up with him and he couldn't handle it. He went to the office she worked in, walked up to her desk and said he couldn't live without her. He then pulled out his pistol, put it into his mouth and pulled the trigger ending it all right there in the office with everyone watching. His mother never recovered.
