Seasick

The heavy strums
Of an acoustic guitar
Grab and twist
The sails
As they crack,
And snap,
Luffing,
Grasping wildly
At the melodic
Breeze.

Wrapping lines
About the awkward rigging,
Every note
A sailor’s knot:
The time signature
Of a gale wind.

Dark green waves
Splash,
And soak well-
Worn teak,
And thunderheads
Toll
A steady,
Driving bass line,
As the vessel
Slips
Into the sea.

Thats a great poem. It makes me think the guitar was probably out of tune. The bass was obviously loud though so all is good.
