Beauty and the Beast
When you were a little child,
your mind was filled with hope
But now the world is wild,
and with the truth you must cope
Princes never come to save,
evil usually wins
Its impossible to rescue a slave,
or save the villain from his sins
Beauty never loves the beast,
it only loves itself
The poor in life are given the least,
while the wealthy get more wealth
The jerk in the story,
won’t get was he deserves
He’ll get all the glory,
and those women with the curves
Those wonderful endings with clichés,
the ones you wish you had
Life will ruin with dismay,
and leave you barking mad
Unlike in the kiddy flicks,
the ones that you want to be
Unfairness is what life picks,
and that is all that you’ll see
When you were a little child,
your mind was filled with hope
But now the world is wild,
and with the truth you must cope

Sad, but so true...
I like that you rhyme, which is something I can not do if my life depended on it and I am almost always impressed when others can do it :) |

I like this.
It reminds me when I turned 7 and realized that Disney was just a bunch of happy, and unrealistic, stories.
I love the lines "Beauty never loves the beast, but only loves itself.
The poor in life are given the least, while the weatlthy get more wealth." |
