How do you amuse a haunted mind?
Do you tell it something funny?
Then send it for a vacation...
Can you shut it down?
If only there were an on/off switch.

The on and off switch you speak about is there, but it is only connected to your conscience. Lose that and you can turn them off. Good write and smooth read.

My haunting usually come when I'm unable to have control over them; in dreams. Awake you tell berate their impertinence, if they don't approve laugh in their face... it will send them packing. I actually heard a weird laugh after a serious thought while in bed... I looked in it's direction and thought, hmmm, I'm pleased such a cretin found something funny, turned over and had the best night's sleep for many a week. :)
