Perception

Turn away
your looks, they make me feel so...
detached.

Hold your tongue
your words, they penetrate my very....
soul.

I can't bring myself
to forget all the things we went through.
They have been forever tattooed
in the chambers of my heart.

Keep your hands
to yourself.
Your touch
like an icy breath,
sends chills down my spine.

Turn away
your expressions, they make me...
detached.

Hold
your tongue, scraping my...
soul.

Keep
your touch, piercing. . .
like icicles.

How
did you tattoo . . .
my heart with yourself?

I'm not really sure what you were going for her, but I thought it would interest you to see a bone-stripped version of this poem.
