Gardening for drug dealers

Take another drag, and then you stomp it out
My cry for helps a whisper, but it longs to be a shout
All of my mistakes, seeding and growing
But this plant i am not mowing
My life ambitions, slowly they have withered and died
Tar pumped through the veins of this plant and killed it from inside
I can see that my soul is on the grill and its beginning to burn
My mind is full of lessons but refusing to learn
My skin is one big scar
But it never really healed
And my arms are getting tired
So I've left behind my shield
I am trying to move on
But i am stuck here with some paste
I want something new so bad, its all that i can taste
So leave me for tonight
Nothing will happen to me
Ill dream of open field
With an ever-blowing breeze

Cool poem. It flows, and is vivid. Good job.
