Revelation
The past doesn't exist and the future doesn't either.
What matters right now is the present and the very decisions we make at this very moment.
The value of money and houses and food and friends and good and bad and love and hate are empty.
When we give these things too much meaning they end up controlling us.
The rules of law and standards and society and traditions are worthless.
When we lose control of ourselves we let others control us.
Happiness and suffering and familiarity and discomfort are all fleeting.
Accept this mourning and freedom.
Do what you want to do because that's all that has any value to you at this very moment and because there is nothing to stop you.
Analyze the person, the place, the idea, the situation that you hold so much contempt for and then analyze your fear of it.
Break down the standards that were set by everyone but you and free yourself from it.
Accept the absurdity of life's behavior and be absurd with it.
Embrace the reactions to your actions because freedom is self-acceptance and not self-denial.
Create your own meaning. Create your own value. Create your own timeline for right now.
Exist in your life, not in the shell of society's idea of life.

Lots of deep insight in this piece. I especially liked your line.
Break down the standards that were set by everyone but you and free yourself from it.
All to often we let others make decisions for us. This lines reminds me we are free to make our own choices, as long as they don't cause us harm, yes?
Nice piece, thanks for sharing |
