Bad Idea (Crash Course/Karjon 43)

My mouth has been taped and a drug paralyzes me, so I can neither move nor cry out. Slits were cut in the cloth so my eyes can peer ahead at the concrete wall. They needn't have bothered with that when they dressed me up to look like the other mannequins because I screwed my eyes closed when the engine started revving.

Everybody knows you don't mess with the mob, and having an affair with a powerful Mafioso's wife wasn't exactly one of my more intelligent moves in life. In fact it proved to be my last mistake.

At a testing facility where technicians determine how much damage will be done to cars at high speed collisions, they use crash dummies to ascertain the toll on the driver and passengers. The lifeless form behind the steering wheel has no awareness that I'm sitting in the front seat next to it.
