The New Protector

It was dawn and a teenage girl woke up.

She’d had another dream about another world full of strange creatures.

She wondered why she had the dreams.

Her name was Bazura Asiba.

She was the daughter of Demi and Kio.

Demi was the Witch princess of the realm Hexia in Aria but had declined ruler ship.

Kio was Ogre Child’s younger sister and had declined protecting Aria and it’s many creatures.

They had fallen in Love from the first time they’d met on Earth.

Bazura looked like a human with long black hair with spiked edges, violet eyes and slender.

She dressed in black clothes and wore a protection amulet that her parents had given her.

They watched as she entered the kitchen.

Kio still was in her Ogrese form because she couldn’t master hiding her form as a human so never left the apartment.

Demi was a human but very pretty.

“I had another dream last night about that weird world with those strange creatures.

What does it mean?” Bazura told them.

They watched as she ate breakfast and left for school.

“It’s time then.

She’ll enter Aria like Ogre Child did and begin her destiny.

There’s no denying it.

I hope she takes it well.” Kio thought as Demi cast a spell.

“What do you mean?” Kio asked her.

“Morgana is loose again.

She’s trying to … give Arians and humans Bardel Biedl Syndrome like before.

Bazura’s the only one who can stop her.” Skye answered her.

They understood.

Morgana was a BBS witch who had the syndrome but was angry about the way people made fun of her because of it.

That was why she wanted to give Arians and humans it, so they would feel her pain.

Bazura was on her way to school when she found something lying on the ground.

“What is it?

It’s like nothing I’ve seen before.” She thought as she picked it up.

It had grey fur, bat like ears, snail like eyes, a spider like stomach and the hands and feet of a monkey.

She watched as it opened it’s eyes.

“T-Thanks for helping me Bazura.

I knew you would.” It said.

Bazura’s mouth opened wide at that.

“Y-You can talk?

You’re one of those creatures from my dreams, from that world, aren’t you?” she asked it.

“Yes.

My name is Morrick J Nassicus and I’m a Psammead.

Don’t you know you’ve been given an amazing destiny?

To protect Aria, our world.

Just like Ogre Child and the Ograrian Knight.” He told her as his eyes and fur glowed a little.

“What if I don’t want to?” she asked him.

“Then… both Aria and this world will get sick.” He answered sadly.

“What’re you talking about Morrick?” she asked.

“Please Bazura, please come to Aria.

We need you.” He begged.

Bazura felt sorry for him because she was a Goth but had a kind heart.

“I-I’ll try but what if I can’t?

I’m an unconfident loser and half blind.” She answered him.

“You can Bazura.

The Asiba family have been protecting Aria since the dawn of time.

It is your destiny.

Something you can’t avoid.” He told her as he saw her unfold her symbol cane along with him.

That shocked Bazura.

“You’re like me.

But how?” she said.

Morrick sighed.

“My father Izzard J Nassicus was fighting along with Ogre Child and the others the first time Morgana revealed herself.

They stopped her but both Ogre Child and him were infected with her magic which meant if they had kids, they would have BBS too.

It kills my father to hve a disabled son but I try to make him proud by my training.” Morrick explained.

“What do you mean?” she asked.

“I’m training to be an Arian Knight like my father but akso helping you.” He answered her.

“I see.

How’re we going to get to Aria?” Bazura asked him.

“Put your hand out in front of you and say Portalus Openus.” He instructed.

“Okay Morrick I’ll try.

Portalus Openus!” she yelled.

Suddenly magic flowed from her hand creating a portal.

“That was cool!

I have magic.

Now this rocks!” she thought.

Morrick smiled as they stepped through.

But a Hate Spirit had seen this and went back to Aria.

Morgana was hiding in the Domin Forest where the dark beings of Aria resided.

She was getting more stronger with each passing day.

“Morgana!

I have news from the mortal world.” The Hate Spirit told her.

“What news do you have?” she asked excitedly.

“The human protector of Aria just left with that Psammead kid.” He answered.

“So the little hybrid girl still lives?

Maybe there is use for her after all.” She answered seeing an image of Bazura…

She could use Bazura’s power to help her.

She knew Bazura had half witch and ogre DNA in her body which made her more powerful than she realised.

Bazura was amazed as they arrived in Latanis.

It was the main city in Aria.

“This is truly amazing!” she said as Morrick led her to a huge purple bricked castle.

It belonged to Mattius and Kendra the rulers of Aria.

Jen was training his squires as they entered through the gates.

“Who is he?” Bazura asked him.

“He is Jen the Ogarian Knight, the most powerful Arian Knight and Ogre Child’s husband. Plus my trainer.

He trains the squires who have been chosen to be trained.” Morrick whispered as they came to the front door of the castle and went inside.

Skye, Ogre Child and Brydon bowed before them as they entered the throne room.

“Welcome Bazura.

We knew you would come.

It is your birth right to be the next protector of Aria.” Skye said to the Goth teen.

Bazura was nervous and shy.

“T-Thank you.” She replied stammering.

Ogre Child smiled.

It made her think of her daughter Muigo.

She’d been the next to protect Aria but she had declined.

Bazura wondered why.

But there was fear in Morrick’s eyes.

He noticed his father wasn’t there.

“where is my father?

He’s always lived in this castle.” He told them.

After the defeating of Sha a rogue Arian Knight, Izz had disappeared without a trace.

Nobody knew where he was but Jen had been searching for him in his spare time but nobody had told Morrick.

“I guess it’s time you knew.

He’s missing, he disappeared without a trace after Ogre Child along with Muigo and the others defeated Sha.

He also has amnesia which means any evil being from Aria finds him, they can use him.

I’m sorry we didn’t tell you but we didn’t want to upset you.

Things were rough during that time.” Skye explained.

Bazura saw tears in Morrick’s eyes.

“It’s okay Morrick we’ll find him.

Besides I’ve never seen my father.” She reassured him.

But then they saw Fury Goblins enter the throne room.

“Morgana must’ve sent them!” Brydon yelled as they approached Morrick but Bazura was gripped with fear and couldn’t move.

“It’s okay. I got him!” Jen said using the Flame of Equinix that he and Izz shared to burn the Fury Goblin’s skin.

Ogre Child then did the same using her Kyuto powers.

Bazura watched as they ran off screaming.

“Are you okay?” she said to Morrick.

“I’m okay.

What about you?” he asked her.

“Just frightened.” She replied beginning to leave.

“Where are you going?” Jen heard Morrick ask her.

“I’m no warrior.

Maybe… you should find somebody else, somebody who is brave and not afraid.” Bazura replied sadly looking away.

“You are a warrior.

You just need help in becoming stronger.

I know you can do it.

Besides being brave is knowing you’re scared but you’re still doing it.

I believe in you.” Morrick told her.

“You’re right!

I’ll stay and help fight Morgana if that’s my destiny.” Bazura replied.

Jen and the others were happy that she would stay but Morgana was furious.

“Those Fury Goblins were supposed to have made her want to leave but maybe I’ll be able to bend her to my will.” She cackled as thunder dragons raced through the sky in the Domin Forest….
