Across the Seas © (Amended)

Serendipitous was our encounter
you swept into my life,
conquered my world as I
surrendered to kismet

A wounded warrior, looking for love,
A dreamer was I … seeking my truth

The deities smiled upon
us that day,
eyes locked, lost in ecstasy,
sparks flew as we burnt in the
Sun’s heat

Ambushed in this inferno,
Paralytic, gripped by
Irrepressible desire

Where the Dolphin Coast
met Big Ben,
our souls
united as one

Inseparable, the envy
of peers, we created our own
fairy-tale…

but a ruthless regime beckoned,
Broken-hearted…no happy
ending

stranded, messages in a bottle
soar with the tide,
as I wait for an answer…
across the seas

This is very strong. In particular, " Ambushed in this inferno,
Paralytic, gripped by Irrepressible desire." Terrific! Flows well. Speaks to the reader. Makes you wish you were there - where the Dolphin Coast met Big Ben.

there is no excess baggage here. Every word flows like an ocean current and each line a wave that eventually comes crashing down. I like it that you used the sea and other elements to describe your feelings and experience. Beautifully written and i feel your separation and sense of being abandoned?
