About Me

I straighten my hair everyday,
have been since December.
Your the one who first suggested it,
it's something you should remember.

I listen to Secondhand Serenade
while I shower and shave.
Looking back at things
I first heard them on your page.

I like to sing along
with songs and make song covers.
Some say I have a rad voice,
You say I sing like Mister Rogers.

I didn't believe in equality,
I used to think some people were barbarians.
You showed me different,
you showed me how we are all just humans.

I watch many chick flicks
and even some on Lifetime.
People would kill to have
a mind like mine.

I have and IQ of 142
yet how did that help me in the end.
My smart intellect didn't help
me in again seeing my best friend.

I sounds like this best friend was a girl that the narrator wanted to love and it didn't work out. Too bad because friends like this usually make the best lovers. Sad to say, but the quality of a person seldom plays a part in the decision making process of who to fall in love with. My wife, born in Shanghai, China, learned English from Mr. Rogers television program. I'll bet she liked the songs he sang.
