Sunday Afternoon

The sun shoots on the Dam
Its arrows hitting the dancing waves
Forming a glassy mirror on which
The ducks sail on
Gently pushed by the lazy wind.

Reminds me of the tune: "Lazin' on a Sunday afternoon." Warm and sweet.

Quite an observation you have here PJ... I too like the sun's "arrows", never thought of that. ~T

Easy to picture, universally understood vision of sunlight on a dam, a lake with "sailing" ducks.

Petty comment - replace "ducks sails" with ducks sail.

A lovely, serene scene. Thanks, PJ - it's nice to start the day with this image. I especially like the way the first sentence sets a scene for the next. Great job!
