The Best Seat
I saw the sun rise
Over the two lovely hills,
Equal in form and roundness,
A tantalizing valley
With hidden secrets
That makes the mouth water.
Who knows whether the valley between
Was lined with soft firs
Or hard scrub.
But I longed to walk through
And partake of its natural beauty,
And luring sensuality,
To feast upon its life
In its youth,
Before the mounds begin to wither
With time and age,
As the forest dies too,
And the beauty with it.
