Snow Buddha

Here among gnarled pine trees
and muted snowfall
sits a stone Buddha,
one hand up in wisdom,
one hand out in compassion.

Wind, rain and snow have
taken their toll, but his
serene smile reminds me that
he is seldom troubled by it.

I feel like this would make more sense:

Here among gnarled pine trees
and silently falling snow
sits a stone Buddha

Snow couldn't be "word-ful" if it wanted to be.

Anyway I like the rest :) My mum's a Buddhist. Really captures the whole serenity of the religion.

i am glad i came in to read this one. It is amazing that you saw such life in a stone statue. I am trying to find my favorite lines but I cannot as I enjoyed it totally....
