She walks sidewalks
Between childhood And
Reality
On her pale face
Lies eternal smiles
She is the girl with
A rainbow
In her eyes
Sparkling blues and
Dazzling greens
Burning golds and
Somber greys
Her eyes show more
Than what they see
She is the child
Society wants to
Control
She is the woman
No lover wants to
Love
But that
Doesn’t bother her
I know the girl with rainbow eyes
I know all of
Her secrets
And the girl with rainbow eyes
She knows all of
My pain
Behind each brilliant smile
Lies a hallowed heart
For the girl with rainbow eyes
Is me
And I am
Her prison.
