Dear September
6:30
A nightmare disrupts my sleep
Rainy September day
I didn’t imagine the tears
You had in store for me.
Coldness was creeping in my veins
Water drops were my hitting umbrella
And yet I waited till you gave me
A ray of light.
I thought it would stay like that
Till midnight brought a different charm,
But no, deceitful September
My eyes changed places with your clouds
And I shed tears
Tears of loneliness
Of failure
Of fear.
In this roller coaster called life
Once again
I’ m going down.
But it’s alright
Don’t break my fall
Cause even though
I am still hurting
I shall soon rise,
Dear September,
Like the sun
You never gave me.
