to some i am
some doll-faced hippie
thinking lazy thoughts
and dreaming impractical.
to some i seem
a threat with thoughts
thick as thieves
up invisible sleeves.
to some i sound
stuck in a world
surrounding myself
like quicksand.
to some i look
sweet, like home
away from home,
soft as silky sheets.
to some i feel
like lively rhythm
drumming heartbeats
in rapid rhapsodies.
to some i appear
out of nowhere
and fall in and out
of line before a blink.
and still i wonder, how do you want me?
