Mirages
Mirages often are, I find,
Images of a heated mind.
Reflections that I sometimes feel
Are something slightly more than real.
Gaining strength from thirst and drought,
Even earth is turned about,
Seeing seas where there’s just sand.

I think since mirage is a synonym for visions, that the rule could be bent. Good thing it's not my call or you'd be on the short list for sure. This is an excellent poem.

Great strength in the feel of this one, Phil. You rebel...you just couldn't conform to rules, aye? "Images of a heated mind." Love that line.:D

Hah - I like this one a lot ut I can't include it with the judging, as you know. Well done anyway on a cracking poem.
