Knock At My Door

Last night I awoke
When you knocked at my door.
I never got to see you;
It was you, though, I’m sure.
Cause you don’t seem to tire
Of hiding- of fleeing.
Always start that fire, but
Start dying…and start seeing
All I can give-
What I exhale. What I breathe.
All you can live
When the blood can run free,
And engulf me like an ocean
Where I can sing as I drown.
Let me drink of your potion
So I can fly as I go down.
My time and my torments
All add up to zero
As I read obscure comics
Where you’re both- the villain, the hero.
where you save me from this monster
I’ve made of my soul
And there, you keep me from digging
Much deeper a hole.
I lie down awake- wont yield yet to sleep-
My window left open for you to come in.
And make love to this soul- make it laugh. Make it weep.
Never had I known so deadly a sin.
