Samesex Marriage
I know it's a controvercial topic and watnot ut me and a friend were trapped in a heated discussion over it. When it was over we came down to the same conclusion. Marriage, like religion and culture, has no definition. It's not between a man and a woman alone. And as in the constitution we can't discriminate against someones culture and religion. To deny samesex couples to be married is violating their overall constitution. Its a removal of their rights to express themselves. The situation itself will then escalade. People will wonder what other minority should have a certain privilage removed. From there it goes to other things, like banning single women from having offspring, since a child needs a stable household to be raised properly and a single mom working two jobs to pay bills rent and cloths, who isn't around enough or barely makes a living for her and her child is not stable enough enviprment for a child who could determine the future of this country. Heck maybe it wont stop at single parents maybe it'll go on to illegals not being allowed to have kids and if they do, not count it as a U.S. citizen and deport it with it's parents back to their country.
We understand that some will have a religious view on this matter, however, we have decided to abandon their reasonings that God looks down on samesex couples and casts them into the flaming pits of hell just because they love and have sexual relations with someone of their own gender. It was stated in the bible that God loves all his children, that all are born into sin. That if a persons opens their heart to the Almighty power, they will be welcomed through the gates of heaven. However, our argument to this knowlege was that if a person in a samesex relationship had gone to church, sung the hymns, gave themselves to god and hadn't done a single wrong deed to which they haven't confessed whether in a confessional or in their late night prayers will still be struck down at the gates and cast into satans court.
We would have concluded our arguments there, however we extended further when we saw the commercial with the little girl who hands her mother a book about king who marries another king and says that she herself will marry a princess. We give or childred too little credit as to think they are easily influenced by a lesson on samesex couples. Besides all our doubts point to the solid fact that such things wont be discussed with children of that age group since sexual education isn't spoken of till we are in 5th or 6th grade well beyond the age of thinking that the monster under the bed will bite your toes off if you wander around in the middle of the night.
Me and my friend do not have opposing views on the subject of samesex marriage, we fully support it. We'se just sick of others warping the solid knowlegde of it into sick perversion that should be looked down upon by all society. It's like returning to the time of racism. Might as well form a group that will go around and lynch samesex couples as the Ku Klux Klan did with blacks just because they were different.
Playing the race card in any situtation is wrong and I understand this will probably be overlooked, recieve negative comments, or both , but the fact that someone has read our ideas, and arguments is a step towards something new.
